- Jalinga Tea Estate is established on 1935.
- It is located in South Assam in Silchar / Dwarbund.
- In 2004, gardens moved into organic farming under Inhana Bioscience’s technology of Rational Farming® Technology.
- Total Organic production from Jalinga is 850MT annually – 100% exports Producing high quality Organic White tea, Oolong tea, C.T.C., Orthodox & Green teas.
- In 2016 gave 100% Jalinga workers a cookstove which has no Carbon emissions.
- The only CO2 Neutral certified tea estate in the world.
- In 2017 grow firewood nursery (bari) at all 3 labour residing locations for 100% cooking requirement, no more wood cutting in the forest.
- In 2017 reduced coal requirement in the factory by 30% by using charcoal (byproduct from cookstove).
- In 2017 supplied 1500 workers with Solar lighting for their homes.
- In recognition of our continuous efforts to be a socially, economically and environmentally conscious business we were presented the award for Sustainability as a business model’ at the North American Tea Conference held in September of 2018.
